What We Do

Throughout the year we receive requests from various groups and organisations asking us to come along and talk about Samaritans.

An increasing number of these requests come from local schools who want to include our sessions in their course curricula.

This is a fantastic way for us to promote our work to the often "hard to reach" under 18 year olds who may at some point in their lives need someone to talk to or who may, themselves, become Samaritans volunteers of the future.

We attend various events throughout the region and are represented at many local organisations' meetings.

We regularly visit and counsel in our local prisons, and support volunteer prison inmates who provide a vital 'Listening Service' to vunerable prisoners. Click here for more information.
